About Marijn 'The Guide' de Gids

The Guide is my nickname and callsign in every game, ranking, E-mail and Homepage.

Personal info :

I was born in 1975 and live in Schiedam (The Netherlands). I work as a Technical Consultant at Televersal , and when I'm not working I'd like to watch sports on TV :
- Formula 1 racing (There's only one team !!! : West McLaren Mercedes)
- Soccer (FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM).

I started plane spotting in 1990 (For an explanation of plane spotting please visit my spotter pages). This has become more an obsession than an use of leisure. My 'home base' for plane spotting in Rotterdam Airport, but because of my special interest : military aircraft I'm driving around a lot of airports / airbases. A few of them are :

As you might have noticed I've marked Mildenhall special, that is because I like the Boeing C-135 very much (especially the RC-135, EC-135 and KC-135 models). Mildenhall is the one and only place in Northern Europe where I (or you, if you go there) can see and enjoy multiple C-135's and other USAF transport at one anytime. There is also a campsite on the edge of the runway (The Willows). It is so close that you can almost throw a rock (Don't even think about this !!!) from your tent ON the airbase.
