  1. Testing your TCP/IP settings can be done by a lot of tools and utilities, but I'll stay to tools that come with Windows.

  2. Select your Windows "Start" button and select "Run" :
Select your Windows "Start" button and select "Run"

  3. In the "Run" box type : "c:\windows\winipcfg" (C:\windows\ is the directory where Windows is installed,)
In the "Run" box type : "c:\windows\winipcfg"

  4. Now you'll see the Windows IP configuration. If this screen doesn't show you adapter select it, and check if your IP address and Subnet mask are the ones you want.
check if your IP address and Subnet mask

  5. If this is correct and you're connected to your LAN than we can check if TCP/IP communication is possible.

  6. To test this we'll go to the MS-DOS prompt in Windows (usually in Programs, or Programs\Accessories)

  7. In the DOS prompt type : "Ping YOURIPADDRESS" :
Ping is a command that (by default) sends IP packets of 32 bytes to the given IP address and waits for a reply. So send and receive will be tested.
    ping 10.10.10.1

  8. You can test the other computers by changing the IP address of step 36 to another IP address.

  9. If all this is done start Falcon and enjoy !
